The Collective Beauty
Photography has showed me that I can always look at things in a different way, which has been a powerful lesson in my spiritual life. Today was a perfect example of that lesson be manifested by, and into, this tree. The tree was beautiful as a whole, which we see in the photo above, but as I walked closer the tree different aspects of it started showing me even more beauty. Details that I would have not seen if I didn't step closer to get to know the tree bet. I saw how the each flower, branch, and stem creates and contributes to the beauty of the tree!! Fun stuff.
Taken in Emma Long Metropolitan Park.Deep Roots
As my mom walked infront of me on the trail we traveled down these wonderful steps that you see in this picture. Looking at the tree it made me feel like all the steps and the dirt was slide down he small hill if this strong tree wasn't there to hold it all up and in place. Don't ask me why but thats what came to my mind! Haha!
A Drive By
This shot was taken on the drive out to the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge. Seriously, check this place out if ever come to Austin. The wildlife refuge is huge, and there are amazing hiking trails. But if you do head up in this direction ever make sure to take the the small little road that cuts through the park called "Cow Creek Rd" which is where this photo was taken.
Trickling Energy
This photo was also taken on the drive out to the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge. Just saw this waterfall on the side of road! If you're ever traveling with the type of photographer like me, one who has to get a picture of everything that stands out to them, then be prepared to practice some patients lol...
Simply Walk
There isn't much to this photo. Not much color, or "wow" factor, but Im really attracted to it. Probably because there is a path, but take photos of the hiking trail all the time. I think I like this picture because it shows me hope. What I mean by that is in this photo we can see the path, but we can all see that the path continues and doesn't stop up ahead. With the same mind set, I have been able to get through a lot of tough time just knowing that the path does stop a head. Thats the reason why I named this piece "Simply Walk" because all we have todo is simply keep walking on our never ending path.
Smiling
This picture reminds me of a movie scene with the main actor running through the field with a fun and happy energy. Arms up in the air, and smiling up at the sun.
The contrast of the warm colors of the tall grass and the cool colors of the sky I think really work well to gather in this photo creating a nice balance. We Create Balance Together
On the hike my mom and I decided to try to stack some rocks, and try to be all zen like. We made this together which was the cooler part about it. As we walked away from our creation we turned around, and my mom said "That would be a pretty picture with the path leading right up to the rocks!" and I agreed and took the shot!
Thanks momma :)Jan Seides
Jan is a singer, songwriter, and storyteller which is right on point with what she does. My favorite part about her music is that I was focused more on her lyrics, and the music behind the words was just a delivery device to add more character to her words!

Ok, this guy is seriously a great musician. Rupert is also a singer-songwriter and has a beautiful voice, and combined with his incredible finger picking, it was an amazing performance. I would highly, highly, recommend looking him up.

This place was magical. Hamilton Pools was much more beautiful than I could have imaged. I was actually more surprised that this was actually Texas!! LOL!!! But the energy and the power of this water fall was incredible. There is also a really nice hiking trail in the park as well which is where some other of these photos!
